Matt Jozoff
Portfolio Manager, Co-Chief Executive Officer, Head of Macro Research, has been a leader in MBS research for over three decades. He was ranked as the #1 research analyst in MBS for more than ten years by both Institutional Investor and the Greenwich Survey, and has led #1 ranked teams across fixed income.
Matt was at J.P. Morgan for 15 years, most recently running fixed income, currency and commodity research, leading an organization of 250 people globally. His team produced client-facing research and built the mortgage models that were the foundation of JPM's risk, VaR, pricing and capital frameworks. Since the 2008 financial crisis, he has been influential in helping to shape public policy in the housing market, building strong relationships with policymakers in Washington, D.C. Matt previously ran mortgage strategy at Goldman Sachs for 9 years. He began his career at Lehman Brothers in portfolio strategy and mortgage research.
Matt has frequently lectured on securitization at various universities including Columbia, Berkeley, and NYU. He currently serves as an independent director on the board of AG MITT, a public mortgage REIT. Matt and his wife, Michele, are involved in the New York chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
Matt earned an A.B. degree in physics from Princeton University and an M.B.A. in finance from the Wharton School.
